Film Development Timer

Today I’m making public my little film development web app: https://dt.danielpietzsch.com.

I have been using this myself for quite some time now to develop my black and white film.

I always thought I’d clean up the code more and refine the UI. But it has been serving me well without those things. And I thought, it might help someone else already, too.

Why now is a good time to finally release this, is because of the recent iOS and iPadOS 18.4 releases. Those updates finally solved a long-standing bug, where home-screen-added websites wouldn’t work with the Wake Lock API. The Wake Lock API is an essential feature for this app. And not being available for installed web apps has been bugging me. But no longer!

I’m not quite sure if any film photographers that develop their own film are following me here; but if that’s the case, give it a try!
