Moved the photo journal to a new host

For a long time now, I wanted to enable SSL on the photo journal site. And now I finally moved the site to a different host, which enabled me to do this.

So far I had been hosting the site on a managed shared hosting plan I had for ages. But there, I couldn’t easily and cheaply install SSL certificates.

So now I am renting a tiny VPS from Strato, set up the server, installed and configured the latest Apache web server, and ran through the certbot process to install and manage a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate.

Posting and uploading is still done via SFTP.

Of course, I have to maintain one more server on my own, but this will hopefully be not very demanding. And now everyone can browse more confidently and securely.
